Windows aDSL setup
NOTE: MS-Internet Explorer users MAY have to disable automatic dial-up, if
this was the previous setting. Please go to Control Panel; Open Internet
Options(also known as: Internet, Internet Toolbox); Go to Connections tab;
Set to: Dial whenever a connection is not present OR Never dial a connection;
Click on LAN settings; set to automatically detect; Alternatively, for
earlier versions of Windows, set to Connect to the internet using a local area network.

Click the Start button on your task bar, then click on Settings and then click Control Panel.
In the control panel click on Network. You should see a window resembling the following:

Highlight the TCP/IP settings for your ethernet card and click Properties. If a warning
window appears hit OK to proceed.

In the IP Address tab, make sure Obtain an IP address automatically is chosen.

In the WINS Configuration tab, click disable WINS resolution.

Leave the Gateway tab blank.
|
In the DNS Configuration tab, click Disable DNS. Click OK at the bottom
of the window. This will bring you back to the NETWORK window. Click OK.
Some files may need to be copied from your Windows CD. Once that is done your computer will prompt you to RESTART, click YES.
Once your computer has completely restarted, you are already connected to the internet. Launch your web browser and surf!
